Hey, I'm glad you're here

The story behind
Wildly At Home

I'm Kris — a travel dreamer who's equally in love with just staying at home and recharging in a cozy space. This is the little corner of the internet I built for people exactly like me.

If you've ever had 57 browser tabs open of array of things and travel wishlists while also rearranging your living space for the third time this month, you're in exactly the right place.

I created Wildly At Home because I couldn't find a space that held both sides of me. Travel blogs felt like they were written for people who never wanted to go home. Home decor blogs felt like they were written for people who never wanted to leave. I'm somewhere gloriously, stubbornly in between.

“Making home beautiful is its own kind of adventure. And some of the best adventures end with a really good candle and your own couch.”

Around here you'll find boho decor ideas that actually work in real spaces, slow travel guides for people who want to feel the place (not just photograph it), and honest reflections on the extroverted introvert life, the person who sometimes loves being around people and also desperately needs a quiet room. I definately lean more towards introveted and love a solo road trip.

I believe that where you live and where you go are both expressions of who you are. So whether you're here for a gallery wall tutorial or a weekend getaway that feels like coming home, pull up a blanket. You belong here.

Home first

Your space should feel like a soft landing, always. Beauty at every budget.

🧭

Slow wander

Travel that lets you actually feel a place whether it's taking your time exploring or visiting multiple cities in a short amount of time. It's your life, your terms.

🌿

The in-between

Honoring both sides, the dreamer and the homebody. The adventure and the ritual.

When I'm not writing here, you can find me hanging at home with my cats, planning a trip I may or may not take, exploring hiking areas nearby or convincing myself I need more notebooks for journaling.
